Romans 15:17 In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God.

Is there any effort on earth to be more proud of than work dedicated to God? What responsibility is more important than fulfilling God’s calling for your life? With Christ in our hearts and God guiding our actions, we can be proud of the things we’ve accomplished for Him.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

At the end of the day, we are all human beings, and God remembers that He made us from dust. He doesn’t expect us to conquer the world by ourselves, but He does ask that our hearts be willing to serve Him. The Word reminds us that we don’t need to rely on our own strength; God can do anything through the life of a person willing to be used in His plan.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

It’s easy to get burnt out, but the Bible encourages us not to become weary when it comes to doing good. We all must take time to rest… even God rested on the seventh day of Creation… but there’s no reason to be tired of doing Christ’s work. We are lights in a dark world, and if we persevere, we’ll not only bring more of God’s love into the world, but our reward in Heaven will be great.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters

By accepting Jesus into our hearts, we have become servants of Christ. In everything we do, we should be putting forward our best effort, like we’re working for the Lord himself. When we give our best in everything we do, it sets an example to the rest of the world, and makes our Father proud.

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Giving up your life to save the ones you care about is a sacrifice that we often see in stories, because it truly is, as the Word says, the greatest act of love. It was this kind of love that Christ expressed to save all of humanity, sacrificing himself so that our sins would be washed away. Jesus commands us to love one another as He loved us; how much are we willing to sacrifice?

1 Corinthians 15:33

Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

It’s been said that you are who you spend time with, and this hasn’t changed since the beginning. Each of us can be influenced by the people we value, for better or for worse. Jesus encouraged us to associate with the lowly and be good to sinners, but our friends should be chosen wisely. Our company shouldn’t come at the cost of what’s right.
