2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

In the verses surrounding this one, Paul urges believers to give generously to others, not out of compulsion, but from a genuine desire to love people. God doesn’t want you to give reluctantly just to satisfy a feeling of guilt. He loves a cheerful giver, and however much you decide to give, God is able to provide for you. Whether you choose to bless a friend, your family, or churches and ministries with your time and resources, be grateful for what the Lord has given you. When you realize that everything you have was given to you by God, it’s only natural to begin using the gifts you’ve been given to make someone else’s day.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

God’s blessings are innumerable, and they aren’t hard to find if you look for them. From the food you eat to the clothes you wear, to the country you were born in, the Lord has blessed everybody in more ways than one. It’s easy to focus on the things in your life that could be different, but God has already given you what’s most important: the breath in your lungs and the blood of His Son. Rejoice that your sins are paid for, pray for your wants and needs, and give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Life is full of constant change on a personal, societal, and global scale. Circumstances change, relationships change, and people themselves change. The one thing that has never changed since the beginning of the world is the Lord. He is always good, always just, and always merciful. Christ is sinless perfection, and in His grace, He rescued you from your imperfections, so that you could one day be in Heaven with Him. He always is, always has been, and always will be the one true God.

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

It’s important that you take time to rest your body and mind. Even God rested on the seventh day of creation… however, He never stopped being God. The Bible doesn’t say it’s wrong to feel weary, but it does encourage you not to grow weary of doing good. We are called to be imitators of Christ; a desperately needed light in the world. Life is like a breath, or a season that comes and goes. Take seriously the time that God is given us and do as much good in His name as you can, not growing weary, but persevering until you reach the finish line.

Psalm 74:17
You have fixed all the boundaries of the earth; you have made summer and winter.

The universe we live in is incredibly vast and stunningly beautiful. The colossal planets and stars out in space are a testament to God’s handiwork, but the earth itself, though just a speck of dust on the cosmic scale, is special. God created the sun, moon, and stars in one day, but He spent four creating this world. He set the boundaries of the earth, separated the sky and sea, and filled the planet with life. Winter, spring, summer, and fall are small parts of God’s creation, but their beauty declares that our God is good.

Genesis 8:22
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

God holds the whole world in His hands. Every day is a day that He made and has given to us. The promise that He made to Noah and the world in Genesis 8 was that, until He ushers in the new Heaven and the new Earth, the seasons would continue. Cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night. The Lord made the seasons, and He has promised to uphold them until Christ returns, and the world is made new. Just as the rainbow reminded Noah of God’s goodness, let the changing seasons remind you of the Creator, as fall gives way to winter, and winter to spring.
