Stepping Out in Faith

 Little could we have imagined back in 1983, twenty-six years after the ministry came into existence, what was in store when the very first radio station went on the air. From day one and continuing today, our passion has been to use every tool the Lord has blessed Family Life with to share the gospel.

Sharathon Budget: $2.75 million

Family Life Sharathons are the primary way of raising the financial support needed to cover the ministry’s monthly operating costs. The Spring Sharathon will take place as a live, on-air event from April 14th – 17th, where announcers share how God works through the various arms of ministry, popular music artists and program hosts are interviewed, and uplifting music is played.

We have witnessed God touching hearts

We will never know until eternity how many people, just like this teenager, have told the Lord, “I believe” because of your partnership with Family Life.

“In 2021 I was 13. I was a rebel to everything my family held as Christians. I listened to terrible music and ran around with a pretty rough crowd. I even planned to run away from home. I hated my family so much. My family always played Family Life in the car, so I had to listen to it, which I hated. The fall of 2021 I was listening to my radio in my room, when I had a weird urge to flip to Family Life. I did, and that was the end of my hatred and bitterness. I sat with tears running down my face for hours that Sunday afternoon. I surrendered my life to Jesus, and the people I once had for friends noticed, I was different. Your station saved my life, thank you. I would never have known my wrong if it wasn’t for what you do every day. I still love Jesus, and even though I still struggle from time to time, your station reminds me of my covenant to God, and how much I owe Him for His great sacrifice.”

It is exhilarating saying to the Lord, “I believe” and watch Him provide!

During each day of the Sharathon, we ask that you would take 5 minutes a day to partner with us in prayer over the following list.

Thank the Lord for His incredible blessing with Family Life’s Fall Sharathon as we hit the highest total in our history. Pray that God will continue to bless the ministry with an incredible Spring Sharathon 2026.

Thank God for filling the positions in the Events Department over the past number of months. Pray that the Lord continues to bring dedicated and talented people to fill positions in maintenance, creative services, radio, and the counseling departments in the coming months.

Thank the Lord for allowing Family Life to begin broadcasting on the new Millersburg station just a few weeks ago. Pray that God would allow everything to go smoothly in getting the Harrisburg station on the air before the Spring Sharathon.

Thank God for providing the ministry with quality people who have filled out the Board of Directors for the first time in several years. Pray that the Lord would provide our Board with wisdom from on high as we move forward into this year.

Thank the Lord for the work that the Performing Arts Department has done this past year with major stage productions and for working with young people. Pray that God would provide the necessary funding for new equipment that is needed to continue the quality of programs that Family Life is known for.

Thank God that the on-air, news team, and production team continue to provide a quality product that ministers to hundreds of thousands of people every week. Pray that the Lord would open the doors to bring on new business underwriters in two areas of Pennsylvania.

Thank the Lord for the help that our Hope & Healing counselors bring to so many clients. Pray that God would bring more counselors who are certified and desirous of using biblical principles in helping people to the ministry.

Thank God for the wonderful reputation that the Events Department provides to all the artists, guests, and volunteers that the ministry works with. Pray that the Lord will provide one more Events Assistant to round out the team.

Thank the Lord for the quality of staff and work that the kitchen crew, the IT Department, the broadcast engineers, the Business Department, the Maintenance Department, and all our clerical staff do on behalf of the ministry. Pray that God would continue to guide each staff member to be a wonderful testimony of His grace.

Thank the Lord for the many blessings we have experienced at Family Life for nearly 69 years now. Pray that God would continue to pour out His blessings and favor to the ministry as we seek to be faithful to His call.
