Jeremiah 10:12
It is He who made the earth by His power, who established the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding stretched out the heavens.

By His power… that’s how this world came to be. God made it all by His power, with His wisdom, and through His understanding. Only He could have created the infinitely huge as well as the infinitesimally small—and it all began with four words: Let there be light.

Titus 2:14
Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works.

Two amazing things happened at the cross: Jesus rescued us from our sin, and He made us new! One set us free from our chains, the other changed us from the inside out. And because of what He did, now we can joyfully help others too!

Revelation 5:12
Saying with a loud voice, ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.’

It’s an intense scene from heaven—no one was worthy to open the scroll…until the Lamb stood up. And that’s when heaven erupted with a new song—one overflowing with joy and worship for the One who was, and is, and always will be worthy.

1 Timothy 3:1
Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.

When you hear stories of how someone became a pastor, oftentimes it took some wrestling with God to make it happen. That’s because the job of a pastor isn’t just a job anyone can do…it’s for those who are called to do it. And when they choose to fulfill that calling, it can be a very rewarding task.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

It’s a call for peace, a reminder not to waste time bickering or complaining, but to trust and honor those who faithfully serve in the church day in and day out.

Jeremiah 3:15
Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.

Israel had a bad habit of being continuously unfaithful to God. So, He promised to give them shepherds who would guide them and teach them to stay faithful. And since the word ‘pastor’ means ‘shepherd,’ He continues to keep that promise today!

Acts 20:28
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.

Paul knew that once he left Ephesus, false teachers—or wolves in sheep’s clothing—would try to lead people astray. So he warned the leaders to stay vigilant and reminded them that a shepherd always lays down his life for his sheep.

Hebrews 13:17
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls.

The apostle Paul didn’t require people follow him just because he was an apostle, but because his actions were trustworthy. And because of that, he encouraged others to live godly lives—a great reminder that leadership rooted in love and integrity deserves our respect.

Proverbs 17:22
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

When our minds and hearts aren’t in a good place, it can really make us feel discouraged. And that’s why it’s so important to spend time with joy-filled people who lift you up and remind you of the truth. Usually it’s just what the doctor ordered!

John 15:11
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

Best life ever! While Jesus was on earth, He gave instructions to His disciples on how to have the best life ever. And it didn’t include being famous, having unlimited resources, or having a million likes. It was simply choosing to follow in His footsteps.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Today is a day that God created! That means this morning, the sun came out, the flowers bloomed, and the birds started singing their songs. And God made it all happen. Your response? It’s simple…rejoice in it!

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

This is one of those commands that can feel impossible, especially on a hard day. Yet when you can set aside your feelings and choose to rejoice in the Lord, it helps you stop focusing on your circumstance and start focusing on the truth: that God is with you no matter what you face.
