Family Life Ministries has an opening for Seasonal Engineering Help. This is a temporary, hands-on position supporting the Engineering Department’s outdoor broadcast signal and infrastructure maintenance efforts. This position involves travel throughout our network’s coverage area across New York and Pennsylvania. Candidates must be able to work independently, handle physically demanding tasks, and have a willingness to learn basic heavy equipment operation.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and stability of a ministry that spans nearly 75 broadcast signals and is in the process of constructing a world-class headquarters in Corning, NY. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with installation and maintenance projects related to radio transmission sites
  • Operate and maintain power tools and equipment, including drills, chainsaws, rebar tying guns, and ground rod drivers
  • Travel to and work in remote and isolated outdoor locations
  • Occasionally assist with the operation of heavy equipment (training provided)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must maintain a positive Christian testimony through a vibrant, active, and strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Good mechanical ability and hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Able to work with little to no supervision
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as assigned
  • Comfortable working in variable weather conditions and rugged environments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 75 pounds)
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
  • Overnight travel required, including multiple nights in hotels
  • Must be able to drive to remote sites and navigate challenging terrain

SALARY

  • $20/hour
  • No additional benefits are provided with this temporary position, except for Paid Time Off per New York State Sick Leave law.
