King Solomon says a self-seeking life must be surrendered to God to prosper.

Proverbs 28:25   An arrogant man stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper. (NASB)

The dictionary defines “arrogant” as “having an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.” An arrogant attitude communicates that you don’t need your co-workers help . . . a vibe that, in turn, creates irritation and a lack of team spirit.

A person who trusts in the Lord for daily strength will humbly work with others in a spirit of grateful dependence, increasing their production beyond what they could accomplish alone. The difference in the two mindsets is simple: one says it’s all about me – while the other is all about what God wants!
