The apostle Paul writes of the essential quality of truth in spiritual warfare.
Ephesians 6:14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness. (NASB)
The day in which you live is one of spiritual attack . . . from without and within. Without, because Christ-followers are under attack from governments, oppressive regimes, and twisted judicial systems. Within . . . because Satan loves to whisper lies to you; lies about your unworthiness; lies about forgiveness of sin; lies about God’s unconditional love!
What is a Christ-followers response to these attacks? Stand firm! When the Bible addresses forgiveness of sin — it says God forgives “as far as the east is from the west.” When the Bible addresses past sin that threatens to define you — it says “there is therefore now, no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”. Listen to the voice of truth!!
