A Psalm of David – an affirmation of God’s deliverance.
Psalm 56:13 For You have delivered my soul from death, indeed my feet from stumbling, so that I may walk before God in the light of the living. (NASB)
Tradition says, David’s 56th Psalm was written after he was delivered from the camp of the Philistines. To escape, he had to pretend he was out of his mind! It was a bizarre, humbling experience for David.
Sometimes God allows testing and trials in our life that humble and test us. Trust Him! Our footing is secure when we can see where we are going, and a clear path is the way to safety. In Jesus, you have the Light and through Him you will find your way to His abundant life!
