The apostle John shares Jesus’ affirmation that He is the one way to God and heaven.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (NIV)
There is no other place to turn for spiritual truth and God and heaven, except by way of Christ. The Bible says before Christ — you were lost in trespasses and sin. Jesus stands knocking at the door of your life waiting for you to open the door.
The “way” is through Christ’s work on the cross; the inheritance He bestows on all of His children. It’s through His Holy Spirit by whom He enables us to understand eternal truth. The ultimate spiritual truth is what you read in the Bible, and the Life is the joyous new spiritual life given to each Christ-follower when you commit your life to following the Savior.
