The apostle Paul, writing from prison, encourages Philippian Christ-followers in the midst of their suffering.

Philippians 1:9  And this is my prayer:  that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight . . . ”  (NIV)

Like a life-coach, the apostle Paul prayed that the initial love of God these Philippian Christ-followers had experienced, would exceed, and abound!  Isn’t it human to want to let up on the accelerator and coast after gaining some skill?  Paul says your life as a Christ-follower, needs to keep up with God’s expectations!

Love paired with accurate knowledge and discernment can help you be more targeted in where and how to express your love.  Learn to distinguish between the better and the best.  Paul’s goal is for you to be like Christ . . . that’s the ultimate life-challenge!
