The apostle Paul writes to the Colossian churches encouraging them to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus.
Colossians 2:6-7 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (NIV)
The life of a Christ-follower is all about “becoming”. It’s never about just being forgiven of sin — that’s just a start! God has a custom-tailored plan for every single day of your life.
You came to believe in Christ by faith. Now, in ever growing faith, you trust Him to be “rooted and built up” — never forgetting to be thankful for your extreme “make-over”!
