Experiencing the “Joy of the Lord!”

As Family Life enters its 69th year of ministry, it has experienced both exhilarating moments of euphoria along with times of deep heartbreak and disappointment. But in each situation, joy can always be present because we know that God’s works are perfect and that He makes no mistakes.

Sharathon Budget: $2.75 million

Family Life Sharathons are the primary method of raising the financial support needed to operate the ministry over a six-month period. The Fall Sharathon will take place as a live, on-air event from October 7th – 10th where announcers share how God works through the various arms of ministry, popular music artists and program hosts are interviewed, and uplifting music is played.

This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

The Spirit of God uses His work at Family Life to use just the right song, the appropriate program, or the precise word from an on-air host to speak joy into your heart and hundreds of thousands of others!

The 2025 Sharathon Chicken BBQ

Drive-Thru Chicken BBQ

Family Life’s Drive Thru Chicken BBQ will be held in conjunction with the Fall Sharathon on Friday, October 10 from 3pm – 7pm! Come to Family Life for some of Nick’s famous Chicken BBQ, salt potatoes, baked beans, a roll with butter and a bottle of water – all for only $15! You can purchase sodas and desserts for an additional $1 each. This drive thru only event will begin at 3pm. and end at 7pm or until the chicken is gone. There will be no advance sales and is first come/first serve. Those who come to the Chicken BBQ can be eligible to win Family Life prizes!

500 for 5 Prayer Needs

During each day of the Sharathon, we ask that you would take 5 minutes a day to partner with us in prayer over the following list

Thank the Lord for His incredible blessing with Family Life’s Summer Fund Drive that raised the funds for new stations in the Harrisburg area and central Pennsylvania. Pray that God will allow Family Life to be able to get these stations on the air by the end of 2025.

Thank God for bringing new staff members to the team with the hiring of a baker and another I.T. specialist. Continue to pray that the Lord will fill current openings for a videographer, events coordinator, and additional management team members.

Thank the Lord for the tremendous ministry effort of the Youth Theater Workshops this summer as nearly 550 young people were involved. Pray that God would continue to use the Performing Arts Department to share the message of hope found in Jesus Christ with the upcoming production of Annie.

Thank God for 9,000 donors who supported either the Spring Sharathon or the Summer Fund Drive over the past six months. Pray that the Lord will speak to at least 1,000 more people so that Family Life’s goal of 10,000 contributors will support the ministry during the Fall Sharathon.

Thank the Lord for the many people who are being helped with biblical counseling through Family Life’s Hope & Healing Department. Pray that God would bring the ministry additional leadership and more counselors to handle the growing need.

Thank God for the wonderful staff in Family Life’s Events Department as they work diligently to oversee all the sponsored and co-sponsored events. Pray that the Lord will use the upcoming concerts and dinner events to speak God’s truth to all that attend.

Thank the Lord for the Town of Erwin extending Family Life’s building permit for the proposed new facility in the Corning area. Pray that God would miraculous provide the $30 million needed to construct the building by the imposed deadline of November 2026.

Thank God for allowing the ministry to broadcast on 75 signals throughout New York and Pennsylvania and around the world via the internet. Pray that the Lord would continue to work through the radio staff to provide programming that draws listeners closer to Christ.

Thank the Lord for the entire team that makes up the staff at Family Life and for their commitment and dedication to the cause of Christ. Pray that God would cover this team with His protection against the onslaught of the enemy so that the ministry can continue to be effective and productive in the call that the staff has.

Thank God for providing for all the financial needs of Family Life for 68 years and that the ministry has never had to borrow any funds from a bank or lending institution. Pray that the Lord would miraculously provide once again through His people during the Fall Sharathon that our $2.75 budget need would be met.
