Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Casserole

  •  1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Pound Ground Pork
  • 1 Medium Onion, Diced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 28oz can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 8oz can Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 Can Tomato Soup
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 Tsp Dry Dill
  • 3 Tbsp Fresh Minced Parsley
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Cups Cooked White Rice
  • 1 Head of Green Cabbage, Chopped, About 8 Cups
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil


Brown the beef and pork with the onions until all pink is gone and onions are tender, drain the fat. Add in the canned tomatoes, water, soup and spices. Bring to a slow simmer and cook for about half an hour. Remove the bay leaf and add in the rice.

In a large pot, heat the olive oil and cook down the cabbage until tender.

Spray a 9×13 pan and put about half the cabbage in. top with about half of the meat and rice mix. Repeat. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
