1 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cans cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350.
In a mixer, cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat. Add flour until sticky dough forms. Spread dough into a 9×13 pan, reserving 1/2 cup. Top with pie filling. Drop remaining dough randomly on top of pie filling.
Bake 45-50 minutes, until golden brown.
Let cool. Cut and enjoy.
Recipe can be cut in half, with the same cooking time.
Almond extract can be substituted for vanilla extract.
Other fruit pie fillings can be substituted for cherry.
