Nick's Picks: Bacon Green Bean Casserole

A bacon-y twist on a classic Holiday dish!!

Ingredients:
2 Pounds Frozen Cut Green Beans
1 Pound Bacon
1 Cup Diced Yellow Onion
2 Cups Heavy Cream
Salt and Pepper

Method:
In a large skillet, crisp up the bacon. Drain bacon on paper towels, but keep the excess bacon grease in the skillet. Sautee the onion in the bacon grease for about 2-3 minutes or until onions are starting to turn translucent. Drain the onions from the grease. Discard the grease.
Without cleaning the pan, simmer the heavy cream for about 5 minutes. It should start to thicken. Season with salt and pepper to taste
Chop cooked bacon and add all except 1/4 cup to the heavy cream. Add drained onions and green beans. Stir
Spray a 2 qt pan and place the green bean mixture into the pan. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove foil and top with remaining bacon bake for another 10 minutes and serve!
