Classic Patty Melt

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Mayo
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 2-3 Tbsp Relish
  • 1 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • 1 Yellow Onion, Diced
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Sourdough Bread
  • Swiss Cheese


Combine the beef, steak seasoning and Worcestershire . Form into 4 patties.

Combine the mayo, ketchup, relish, and second listed steak seasoning.

In a large skillet, sautee the onions in the butter with salt and pepper to taste. Sautee until golden brown and caramelized. Add to the mayo mix.

Cook the burgers to desired doneness

Spread some butter on one side of 8 slices of bread and put them butter side down in a large pan. Top each piece with swiss. Melt the cheese and once the bread is toasted, place the burgers on 4 slices and top with the sauce. Close the sandwiches and serve!
