Baked Sausage and Tortellini

  • 1 – 1 1/2 Pounds Mild Italian Sausage Links
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
  • 16 oz Bag of Frozen Peppers and Onions
  • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 Jars Pasta Sauce
  • 2 12 oz Bags Cheese Tortellini
  • 1 Cup Shredded Parmesan


In a large skillet, brown the sausage on all sides and then remove from the pan. In the same pan, heat the oil and sautee the garlic for 2 minutes. Add in the peppers and onions and sautee for another 5 minutes. Add seasonings and slice the sausage into slices and add that in too, stir. Pour in pasta sauce and bring to a simmer, cook 10 minutes.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to the package, subtracting one minute. Drain well and combine with the sausage and sauce.

Transfer to a large baking pan and top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
