When you have an abundance of money, it’s not hard to give some of it away. But when you’re strapped for cash, you want to hoard every single penny. But that’s where Paul says you’re missing out on a depth of joy that could be yours. When you give out of your poverty, true freedom is birthed because you trust God to take care of all your needs, just like He takes care of the birds of the air and the beasts of the field. Your sacrifice actually becomes His unique device to give you unbelievable joy.
