The apostle Paul encourages the Church to be ready for Christ’s return.
Romans 13:12 The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. (NASB)
Every generation wonders, “Will this be the year Christ returns?” The apostle Paul wondered it over 1900 years ago; Bible teacher David Jeremiah wonders it today. If nothing has to happen for Christ to return, and if you’re going to live in obedience to Him — start now!
What changes do you need to make? There are obvious sins: pride, envy, lust and jealousy; but how about the “good” things that may perfectly fine, but don’t take your life in the direction God has planned? Sometimes good things must be laid aside, so you can do the greater things God has for you!
