The apostle Paul declares that when it comes to God loving you – nothing’s ever going to change that!
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, (KJV)
You may break God’s heart and turn away from Him as a Christ-follower, but nothing will ever separate you from His love! King Solomon had everything you could wish for, yet he turned away from God and suddenly discovered life lost its meaning and joy. Life does have meaning, joy and satisfaction – in Christ.
These verses cover unseen forces . . . the supernatural! Earlier in this chapter, Paul wrote about things like hardship, persecution or famine, and how nothing physical, can separate us from the love of God. In these verses, Paul takes the argument a step further, saying nothing supernatural can come between the Christ-follower and God. Are you getting the message? As far as you and God are concerned, He’s never going to stop loving you . . . and that’s a promise!
