Old Testament Moses sets out clearly the mind-set God brought to the creation of mankind.
Genesis 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (NASB)
God created us for Himself. It was a plan that the divine Trinity planned before the foundation of the world! Mankind wasn’t like other creation — we were created in the image of God. We are self-aware, we know the difference between right and wrong, we can worship and live for God.
Everything else in creation will eventually be destroyed prior to the creation of a new heaven and a new earth — but human beings will live forever in heaven or in hell! The notion that we were created at the will of a loving God, to accomplish good works — is far more credible then the idea of spontaneous creation by chance.
