The physician Luke says the measure of a person’s trustworthiness is how careful a person is with little jobs.

Luke 16:10 Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. (NIV)

It’s easy to take for granted small responsibilities as being insignificant – and yet they are an indicator of the reliability of your stewardship. Being honest about your expense account or tax returns says a lot about your values. A high school student showing up on time and ready to work in a summer lawn mowing job – is a strong indicator of integrity that will likely translate to dependable honesty as an adult!

The context of these verses has to do with money. Being faithful in giving to God when you have little, will be an indicator of whether He can trust you with more!
