The apostle John shares the good news that heaven will be a place without pain or sorrow.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (KJV)
The prospect of life apart from the effects of sin in God’s presence has been called the “Hope of the Church”. Christ-followers can endure the difficult and horrific now, because the worst that can happen is we die and go to be with Jesus! Nothing can separate us from Him and His love.
As I pray for the brutal treatment of innocent Christ-followers around the world, and as I read with sinking heart of the crime and evil that goes on in the world – I find great hope in considering the future in Christ! No more tears, no more death, sorrow or crying. No more PAIN!
