Our volunteers help us live out our mission! They not only impact our guests by serving them, but they greatly impact our staff by serving us as well! Enthusiastic and passionate volunteers have the ability to create positive connections with staff, guests, and other volunteers. They also have the best ability to recruit other volunteers and the potential to create lasting impact and change for Jesus as they serve with us in all we do.

FAQ

Where do I park at Family Life?

On the day of an event, please park across the street near the R.R. tracks. That area includes storage trailers and our Scene Shop building. (If you have mobility issues, please let us know in advance, so we can be available to help.)

What's the dress code?

Business casual (without jeans) is recommended for “Front of House” positions. Car parkers need to bring appropriate layers to stay comfortable based on the weather. Kitchen servers and beverage servers need to wear a WHITE TOP and BLACK PANTS (or skirt).

How do vouchers work?

Vouchers are given to volunteers that do NOT get to see a show or conference. The coupons are NOT equal to a ticket. A recipient needs to call the ticket office to redeem a voucher or several vouchers for a ticket. (Vouchers have an expiration date, but are valid if you call the ticket office within a year of receiving the voucher.)

What if I have to cancel?

It’s easy to cancel an online sign-up through the same link used to register for a shift. Select the “cancel” button. You can also email volunteer@familylife.org or call Family Life M-F, 9-5pm at 607-776-4151. (We are working on a system for last-minute weekend cancellation notice.)

Where do I go once I arrive?

At your scheduled time, please check in at the front lobby before heading to your post area.  (Doors are locked, but an events team member will let you in.) Beverage servers will then make their way through the auditorium to the side radio entrance for name tags, direction, and row assignments.
