Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Beauty is something many women strive for—sometimes at any cost. Just look at the endless commercials promising wrinkle-free skin and everlasting youth. But here’s the truth: no cream, serum, or filter can stop time. Aging is inevitable. But true beauty isn’t something that fades—it’s something that grows stronger with time. People may not always praise a youthful appearance, but they will remember and admire a life marked by kindness, wisdom, integrity, and grace.

Proverbs 1:8-9
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
Have you ever received advice that didn’t quite make sense at the time, but later on you realized it was exactly what you needed to hear? That’s what Solomon’s saying about your parents. They have a lot to teach you in the short time you’re living in their house. And it might feel like too much to take in at the moment, but if you listen it won’t be a burden, it will end up being a blessing.

Isaiah 66:13
As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.
Children fall a lot! And oftentimes, when they do, they run to their moms for comfort. But what’s interesting is their mom didn’t make the boo-boo go away. Her presence was the comfort they needed to face the pain. And God hasn’t promised you a pain-free life, but He is promising that His presence will give you the comfort you need when you need it.

James 5:16
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
There’s something powerful that happens when you drop the mask. When you stop pretending that your life is perfect, and you start sharing your struggles. The thing is, when you confess those struggles, it doesn’t make you weak, it simply opens the door for God’s grace to let the healing begin.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
On this National Day of Prayer, it’s clear that our nation truly needs it. Take time to pray for people’s hearts to be softened to the truth of God’s Word, for hearts to desire repentance, and for lives to be changed by the Good News of Jesus Christ. Action always starts when you get on your knees in prayer.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
The world we live in right now demands that everyone be ready to take action. It’s no longer acceptable to simply sit on the fence of indecision. The time has come to look forward to Christ’s return with anticipation, to face adversity with endurance, and to get your knees daily in prayer. Choose to start taking action today!

Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Someone who’s devoted to prayer, doesn’t let distractions keep them from bending their knees. Prayer isn’t the last thing on their list, it’s the first thing. Their lips are filled with petitions and praises for the only One who can really transform one sin-filled heart or even the entire world. So, keep on praying!

Jeremiah 29:12-13
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Make the call. Sometimes you have to get to the lowest point before you’re willing to call on God. And Israel was no different. They were at their lowest point when God gave them these words of encouragement. But you don’t have to wait until you’re at your lowest point to call on God, you can do it anytime!

Psalm 51:7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
If you’ve ever gotten an oil stain on your favorite shirt, you know it’s impossible to completely get rid of the stain. Yet when it comes to stains, God’s not interested in the ones on our shirts, but the ones on our hearts. And in order to get those clean, He had to use the deepest, richest, purest cleaning agent: the blood of His Son.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Make the switch! When Jesus was on earth, He gave people the opportunity to make the switch: their heavy burdens for His light burden. And thankfully, He still offers that opportunity to you today. The question you have to ask yourself is: am I willing to make the switch?

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you.
To do well in fishing, you first have to learn how to cast your line. They say, the deeper you cast, the bigger the fish. And it’s the same with life. To live it well, you have to learn to cast your worries, your fears, and your troubles on God. And the cool thing is, the deeper you cast them, the smaller they look.

Psalm 147:4
He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.
When you have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day–take a moment to remember this: God has given a name to each and every star in the heavens. And if He cares about them, you can be certain that He cares even more for you!
