Do you ever sense that you are the lonely voice crying in the wilderness? Do you ever regard yourself as the only person standing for truth? Do you ever get the idea that you are like a fish swimming upstream in trying to live a life that would be pleasing to the Lord? Do you ever feel like giving up because the fight is just too hard? Well, if that describes you, there is great news. “The Battle Belongs to the Lord!”
In this post-modern Christian world in which we live, it is easy at times to want to throw in the towel. You might wonder if things in our country could get any worse than what we are facing with greed, strife, immorality, and unlawfulness abounding. You question how you as just one person could make a difference.
Our Lord wants to use His children to accomplish extraordinary feats!
I am sure that Gideon felt that way when he looked at the vast army of the Midianites. God called him to lead the battle to free his fellow Israelites and then whittled his army of followers down to a measly 300 men to fight against the enemy of tens of thousands. But that is just like our Lord – He wants to use His children, you, and me, to accomplish extraordinary feats that will bring glory to the God we serve.
The battle we face today is very different but just as important! Scripture states that we are to be salt and light in a very dark and sinful world. But it is a battle worth engaging in, and that is why the Lord has brought Family Life into existence and continues to bless and use it. You are such an integral part of that battle as you support God’s ministry at Family Life. It is your financial generosity and prayers that keep this ministry on the offensive – impacting lives with the message of hope found in Jesus Christ.
The powerful hand of the Lord will work through you to provide the tools to carry on this most important battle!
When you support Family Life in the upcoming Fall Sharathon, you are equipping the Lord’s work to engage the culture in presenting truth. My father used to share a saying with us, “Your attitude toward truth will never change truth, but it will change you!” Our passion is presenting the truth of the gospel through radio, performing arts, biblical counseling, online music streams, and all the events in which Family Life is involved.
From October 6-9, Family Life will conduct our Fall Sharathon. During those four days, we will watch the powerful hand of the Lord work through you and many others to provide the tools to carry on this most important battle. Yes, the battle does belong to the Lord, but He does His work through His children. Your support of Family Life is so appreciated and also very critical in allowing the ministry to reach many more people.
God has incredibly opened the doors to connect with a much larger audience this past year, but with the increased outreach comes significant costs. That is why you are so important to Family Life. Your sacrificial giving during the Fall Sharathon will be used by the Lord in ways beyond our wildest imagination.

Can the Lord use just you? Absolutely! I am pretty confident that at first, Gideon could have never imagined the extent of God’s power working through him, but he witnessed miraculous things as he was obedient to the call and trusted in the truth that “The Battle Belongs to the Lord!”
