On this 18th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist killings, Inside Out looks at how God calls Christians to treat the Muslims we work with and live near. While many in the US drew a direct line between the 9-11 jihadists and all Muslims, Christians have reason to think and believe differently.
My guest for this conversation is Abdu Murray, a lawyer and senior vice president of Ravi Zacharias Ministries. He is a former Muslim.
“How do I think God views Muslims?” Murray asks as he repeats my question. “I think He views Muslims the same way He views everybody else—as those who were made in His image, who have fallen short of His glory because they have tried to live on their own strength. And He provides a Savior, who can say, ‘I can save you from you.’ And it’s up to Christians to actually offer that Savior to them. They did it for me. It took me nine years to accept it, but once I did, that’s all I needed.”
