First Baptist Church of Maine, NY hosts Upwards Basketball for boys and girls in K-2 grades from January 10-March 9.  Registration is open now and closes December 15.  For all the details call 607-862-9617.

Upward Basketball focuses on the sports experience and the whole person. We desire to help participants grow mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. The league believes that all children deserve opportunities to be active, learn, and have fun! Playing a sport is about giving your best effort during competition while respecting your opponents, coaches, and officials. At Upward you will find loving coaches who demonstrate care for participants by taking the time to teach beginners and challenge those with experience to reach their full potential. Upward Basketball is a great place for an athlete or cheerleader to get their start in organized sports or for those who just want to play for the enjoyment of the sport. Believing that family time is important, we try not to be taxing on a family’s schedule! Practices will be once a week (Possibly Wednesdays) and all games will be on Saturdays at First Baptist Church gym
