Jesus is very much into productivity. In Matthew 25, he said he would reward the good employee that was productive while the employer was away. However, the one that was unproductive, he cast away.  Only in religious America do we hold ourselves to such weak standards that our churches do not have to "produce" in order to survive. The difference is whether we will be a spiritual hospital or a hospice for dying saints.
