NIGHT . .
Beginning in 1980 on our local TV station, we welcomed our community to the studio "living room" for Family-Life Sunday Night . We squelched all of the glitter and glitz associated with televangelism. We wanted it to be an extension of our real family for an old-fashioned visit to "Grandma's house". We discussed real issues - unrehearsed - just like they would come up sitting around the table at Grandma's! It became interactive as viewers would call us and share their heart... some hurting so bad caught up in the midst of a broken marriage... some so excited over a new birth... or a prayer request for a loved one on the edge.
In May 1999, we began to use the conduit of technology to expand the event so families could become part of the live webcast by watching on their home computers via the Internet. However, we never anticipated the response ! We are humbled that God has expanded Family-Life in this manner. Family-Life Sunday Night is responding to the need for family identity in a unique way.
